Hello you! ❤ Let me introduce myself… I was nine years old in 1997 when grunge found me. Nirvana on repeat, Kurt Cobain face on my bedroom walls, and a growing obsession with a Seattle I had only imagined.
I often felt as though I had been born in the wrong era, having missed the chaos and magic of the scene, the nights when the city throbbed with distortion and possibility. Over time, my love expanded to Olympia’s fierce female rock, and life moved forward as soundtracks shifted and seasons changed. And then, almost unexpectedly, the nostalgia came rushing back.
That wave reignited something in me, like waking up my inner child, and it led me to finally meet Seattle in person. I spent ten days walking its streets, chasing riffs, coffee, and the places my idols once called their own.
Along the way, I realized the guide I had always been searching for did not truly exist. So I created one myself (and now a website!). It was warmly received, and what began as a personal document has grown into something richer, with deeper research, stronger visual storytelling, and more layered narratives behind each stop.
And another trip to Seattle!
Now, from my home in London, I share itineraries that blend my work as a travel journalist with my love of coffee culture and a lifelong devotion to grunge, so you can experience the city’s spirit as it is today, changed yet still electric.
I hope this website and all it passionately contains help you shape an unforgettable and meaningful journey through a place that continues to capture my heart, again and again.
With love, Natalia
